[Surprise, there's a knock on your door, Chloe. It's earlyish in the day, before he's scheduled to meet Kara. He has one arm tucked behind his back.]

[Chloe is a late sleeper, but a least she grabbed her lab coat before she answered, so she's mostly just bare legs and a labcoat held closed with one hand and messy hair as the door slides open and she blinks blearily out at him.]

...Mon-el? What are you doing here?

Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you. [Waking up is the worst.] I just wanted to catch you before you went out today. [He pulls a bouquet of flowers out from behind his back and holds them out for her.] Just in case no one else does today and to thank you again. [It may not be jewelry or fucking til morning, but it's something?]

[Very few things are fucking til morning, sadly. Chloe frowns at the flowers for a few seconds, processing the situation as her brain tries to decide if she's happy or annoyed by this. Finally she settles on 'not annoyed' at least, and reaches out to take the flowers.]

Uh. ...Thanks Man.

[After a second she sniffs them. Because what girl can resist doing that.]

And you were right before. There was someone else I was thinking of and I asked her out, so... [She was not aware that's what was happening and we'll see how that goes.]

[Chloe smirked.] 'Course I was right. I'm always right.

Oh but uh...okay, so the advice, or whatever, about valentines? Just maybe...ignore...most of the shit I said. Yeah.

[She paused.]

[That made Chloe burst out laughing, which...made her feel weirdly self-conscious? Luckily she covered it up by sniffing the flowers again.]

Jewelry's good. Just ignore the other bits. Kara strikes me as pretty old-fashioned.

[Chloe snickered as she said this, stepping back into the room and looking around for something that would work as a vase.]

[The teen laughed.]

[And indeed, there Chloe was when Alex arrived, leaning against the wall, in torn up jeans and a t-shirt and her lab-coat, absently flipping through her communicator screens.]

[Alex steps out of her shuttle with a lazy wave. The year and a half of added age are immediately apparent - her hair has grown down long past her shoulders, and she's no longer baby-faced and narrow as a stick. However, the baggy cow-print space suit hanging unzipped around her waist is a classic call-back to her typical goofiness.]

Hey, Price. Super-long time, no see.

[helladoomed]

Yeah. You too. [Chloe smirked as she pushed off the wall, looking the other girl over.] I like the pants. Very you.

[A beat, and then you know what? Alex was getting a hug. Sorry Alex.]

[delincuente]

[Alex makes a vague noise of protest, but doesn't fight the gesture off too hard. After a couple of moments, she even wriggles her arms free to hug back.]

I'm guessing you didn't miss me at all, then.

[helladoomed]

Not a bit.

[Chloe grinned as she stepped back, making a show of brushing her hands off, and then turned around.]

Come on, I got a thing to show you.

[delincuente]

'Kay.

[Hands in her cow-print pockets, Alex slouches after her.]

So, remember those garden supplies you duplicated for me from the community garden? I put them to use. Had to do it the slow way, since that girl with the planet powers got ported out for a while. But still.

[As she talks, Chloe leads her to a small, out of the way door, punches in an unlock code, and then shoulders it open and holds it for her.]

But I'm pretty happy with the results.

[Inside is, in fact, a fairly decent looking pot farm. Dark and light areas for different growing times, and a good forty plants at this point.]
