[Happy Valentine's Day, new girlfriend! Chloe gets a decent selection of punk rock from this world, a homemade box of equally homemade chocolates, and a watercolor painting of CHloe sitting on the bench by the lighthouse in Arcadia Bay during sunset.
Also, there's a note, asking her out on a date for V-Day. Because hey, why not? A movie and a burger sounds like a good idea.]
That book is on its way. I've read Ulysses plenty of times and it happens to be one of my favorite classics. Regardless, I've sent you something extra.
Excellent work on that website. I'm still learning to master this new frontier we call the internet, but it was a great help. I only wish I could've further contributed.
I'm glad to hear it. Not as glad to hear about the state of the world, but...I'll wait to act on that front.I
As for now: I don't know if Max told you, but she assisted me during the seminar. I invited her to join us on an invention session if that's all right with you?
[ Sarah enters the apartment cautiously. She's still got a cut over one eye, but otherwise she looks fine, thanks to Cosima's healing powers and Alison's cleaning powers. The only hint to her other injuries is a small slit in the fabric of her jeans on one thigh, where Rachel's knife went in. ]
[The apartment is...weirdly clean, for Chloe having spent two weeks alone in it. After Sarissa had called her but been told not to come by, she'd...started to clean. And smoke. So it was clean. But a little smoky. Oops?]
[At the moment though, she was sprawled out on the couch, television on. She sits up when the door opens, dumping a pair of magazines onto the floor in surprise.]
Sarah? Shit! [She made a grab for the magazines, missed, and they thumped onto the floor.]
[The letter arrives the day after Max is ported out.]
Dear Chloe, I'm not sure why I'm writing this. For all I know, you and I might just get lucky. We might get to stay here forever with each other - or at least, for the rest of our new lives here. That sounds nice. I really like that idea.
But our lives really don't always go the way we want to. We don't usually get to see our plans go through. But this time... I don't know, I'm really glad the two of us got stuck here, even with all the bullshit with the Cold War suddenly being a thing. I seriously had to James Bond it a few times. But being here meant we finally got a chance, and I really loved that. I really love you, too, Chloe.
And whatever happens, whenever one or both of us go back... what we had here was real. I'm glad of that. I love you, Chloe. I'm glad we got to do a bunch of things we couldn't have done if not for this place. Maybe that's why the Porter pulls some people here: to give people a chance when they wouldn't have gotten it anywhere else.
And if you're getting this letter after all... I'm sorry. But even though writing this letter makes me hella sad, I'm really grateful that we got this time together. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I won't say goodbye. Not here. I'll see you on the other side.
Love, Super Max

Something extra isn't going to be a creepy dildo or something right? This has been cool so don't make it pervy.

Strange. That your mind went to intimate psychological invasion. I don't involve myself with meaningless physical indulgence.
Do you really think that I would send such nonsense?
[It's actually Brave New world by Huxley.]

As I understand it, you're a tattoo artist? I was hoping you could answer some questions for me.
